The NCC serves as the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, with its headquarters in New Delhi. It is a voluntary organization open to school and college students nationwide. As a Tri-Services organization, the NCC encompasses the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, with the primary mission of grooming young individuals into disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens.
Recognized as the largest uniformed youth organization in India, the NCC is guided by its motto: "Unity and Discipline." It fosters national integration and unity among the youth, nurturing them into secular, service-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds.
At St. Joseph University, the NCC unit is affiliated with the 25 Naga (I)
